The Real Flower Pots were born in 2024 when Patrick Meagher (Girl for Samson, YesNoYes,
Hotel Radio, Hooray Henry!) and I (Johnny Marie & the Lonesome Petunias, Girl for Samson, Big Perm,
Boxes of Love, This Jungle, Porps, The Wilsons) were talking about the abundance of partially completed
songs we each had. In March we shared a dozen each and started the process of finishing each other's
sentences without any genre limitations, rules or guidelines. We used real instruments as much as we could,
including cello, viola, recorders, lap steel, mandolin, banjo, lyre, xylophone and natural hand percussion.
Patrick began to mix and master songs for the first wave in May and we began to letting them wriggle
free into the world in June, beginning with God's Horn. We are planning to have the debut album
"Here Come The Real Flower Pots" out by the end of the year.
